At the time of this writing, there exists, in some courts, judges who will not abide by the laws which provide for the appointment of counsel in civil matters.
These judges claim that the laws which are created by the opposition party are "unfunded mandates".
This, in effect, denies meaningful and substantive trial of the facts in such case, and the case can effectively be dismissed while the person learns procedure or finds some cheap attorney to offer assistance.
I believe this to be contrary to the United States Constitution and repugnant to our way of life.
